Oh, the prairie! The west has been awesome and has treated us well. I thought that Ohio was rural and full of corn--until I came out here. Corn stalks for miles and miles! Iowa was a great state. The picture seen here was taken in Cedar Rapids. It was not quite the thriving metropolis that I had expected, but it was cute and quaint just the same. Be sure to check out the photos I've been taking at my flickr site (www.flickr.com/photos/jesspics). I update those as I can, but the blog part takes more time than I really have...these NADE conferences keep you busy!--so I'll try to let you in on my activiites as I have the chance.

I miss the road :-(... but if you think Iowa is desolate you haven't had to drive through Nebraska by yourself. Cedar Rapids is always fun... an entire city that smells like oatmeal can't be a bad thing.
