cross your fingers

I finally completed my application for Mt. Carmel. It was mailed on Friday. I'm so nervous! I've done so much planning and mental preparation for this program. It has been my life for the past 5 months. I've had several near nervous breakdowns this quarter because I'm working full time and taking a full time courseload. But, all of this will be worth it once I get into the program.

The program I am referring to is a 13 month accelerated BSN program for people who already have a bachelor's degree. It will start January 2009 and end January 2010. It's very intensive. I have to quit my job and live off my savings. At the open house in February, they told us that you basically have to call all your friends and family and tell them you won't see them in a year. It sounds like a lot, but I've prepared so much for this. I'm determined and motivated. I am ready to be a nurse and I don't want to take the 2 1/2 years it will take to get only an ADN through CSCC. The MCCN program is a perfect fit for me. Just cross your fingers for me and hope I blow them away at the interview.

I've had to take tons of science courses as pre-reqs for the program. I've really been enjoying them. I am much more of a science minded person than I am business or theory related person. I need hands on work. I'm sick of staring at a computer all day!

oh i hope i hope i hope i get in!
